NOTES TO PARENTS AND GUARDIANS

Mid-term Marks: Mid-term Report Cards will be sent home Friday, November 16 with students and will also be included in the next weekly E-Newsletter. Please spend a few minutes reviewing your child’s marks, comments and learning skills with them, sign and tear off the last page, and ask them to return it to school to their homeroom teacher by Wednesday November 21.

Take our Kids to Work: Thank you to all the parents, guardians, relatives and friends who spent the day at work with one of our grade 9 students. Our grade 9s came to school on Thursday excited to share their experiences with their friends and teachers.

Take our Grade 8s to High School: While our grade 9s were visiting the workplace more than 400 grade 8 students came to Trudeau to find out what high school is all about. They visited classes, had lunch and activities in the cafeteria and had a chance to ask our students about high school life at Trudeau. Congratulations to all of the students and staff who helped to make the day such a huge success.

Trudeau Remembers: This morning Trudeau students honoured the thousands of men and women who have served and sacrificed in war for the peace and freedom that we enjoy today in Canada. Performances from the music, dramatic arts and history departments were shared and a Master Sergeant from the Canadian Armed Forces shared the importance of Remembrance Day with us. Thank you to all the students and staff who contributed to this tribute.

Students at School on Weekends:Many of you may know that our school is used a great deal throughout the week during the evening and on weekends. Students will often stay after-school to study or complete group work in the cafeteria and are welcome to do so until 6:00 p.m. Please know that supervision is not provided on weekends or during the week after 6:00 p.m. Students must not come to the school on Saturday or Sunday to study or do homework. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Linkewich via e-mail.
