Congratulations to our Fire Cadet Graduates: Congratulations to Cory Cochrane, Mathura Maheswaran and Matthew Morrison who all successfully completed the Markham Fire Department Cadet training program. This 18 week training is the first of its kind in York Region! These students were honoured this Tuesday at the Markham Town Council meeting and were presented certificates of achievement by Fire Chief Snowball and Mayor Scarpitti. We are so proud of their achievement.

Graduation: Graduation will take place in the gymnasium this Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. All graduates are asked to arrive no later than 6:00 p.m. and are to proceed to the drama room to pick up their caps and gowns. Each graduate was asked to pick up an invitation containing two guest tickets from the guidance office. Any student who has not yet picked up their invitation should do so no later than Monday by 3:30 p.m. We look forward to celebrating this evening with you.

Exam Review Day: Exam Review Day provides all students with an opportunity to review examination results with their teachers and ask for clarification about exams, summative results of their final marks. A modified schedule for the day is listed above. Teachers are also available to meet with students and /or parent/s/guardian/s for individual appointments in the afternoon from 1:00 – 2:50 p.m.

OSSLT Results: Congratulations to all students who wrote the Literacy Test on March 29th. This year 94% of our students who wrote the OSSLT for the first time were successful. This year at Trudeau 381 students achieved the Literacy Test requirement for their diplomas. Test results have been shared with all students who were not successful and will be mailed to parents/guardians. Literacy Test results can be picked up from the main office any time next week and will also be available for pick up with report cards.

Report Cards Pick Up Time: Report cards are available for pick up in the main office as of July 3rd. The office will be open Monday to Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., from July 3rd to August 24th, excluding holidays. The office will be closed during the week of 6th – 10th. Regular hours for the 2012-2013 school year begins August 27th.

2012-2013 Timetable Distribution: Students had the opportunity to pick up their 2012-2013 timetables on June 15, 2012.  This will give an opportunity for students to see that the courses and/or alternates that they chose in February and verified in April are listed on next year’s timetable. Any timetable changes resulting from the completion of credits during summer school or due to a change in post-secondary plans will be attended to in September. Timetables for our incoming grade 9 students will be distributed at their elementary schools through homeroom teachers prior to the end of the school year.
